Welcome to the Digital Fiction International Network wiki 

 

                                                                            

 

This wiki is designed to support the collaborations between the six participants of the Digital Fiction International Network (funded by The Leverhulme Trust between January and December 2009).

 

This wiki is also designed to profile our work and support research in the field of digital fiction research. As a group, we offer methodological approaches to and analyses of digital fiction.

 

But what do we mean by 'digital fiction'? According to our DeFINition, we mean:

 

fiction that is written for and read on a computer screen, that pursues its verbal, discursive and/or conceptual complexity through the digital medium, and would lose something of its aesthetic and semiotic function if it were removed from that medium.

The Workshop page gives brief information about the 3-day workshop held at Sheffield Hallam University from 17th to 19th August 2009.

 

The Workshop texts page contains links and/or references to primary texts, some of which were analysed at the 3-day workshop.

 

The Workshop photos page contains some pictures from the August workshop held at SHU.

 

The Research visits page contains exchange reports detailing the Investigators' visits to Yale and Otago.

 

The Video Seminars page brings you streaming video of exciting workshop events.

 

 

III. What we are going to do ...

 

The Conferences page contains information about events that DFIN members will be attending as well as the work that they will be presenting.
